Team Q&A: Meet Apprentice Ethan

First up is Ethan, our gun apprentice who’s been working alongside Adrian and Mark for the past 3 years. Find out what he loves about working at Northside Motorcycles Tyres and Service – and which motorcycles are his all-time favourite to service in the workshop.

Here is just a few of questions we asked Ethan:

What’s your role at Northside MC Tyres + Service? I am an Apprentice Motorcycle Technician.

How long have you been working in the business? I have been working at Northside Motorcycles Tyres and Service for 3 years. I started in the spare parts/retail showroom.

What were you doing before working here? I was at School

Did you have aspirations to become a motorcycle technician? Yes, I have always loved motorcycles! I can’t complain because I get to work on and talk motorbikes every day.

What do you love about the industry? I love meeting different people and working such a big range of motorcycles.

What do you love about working here in particular? The team at Northside MotorcyclesTyres andService are easy to work with, they have an incredible amount of knowledge and experience, they’ve also been very supportive and happy to share their knowledge as I complete my training. Plus the variety of work is just awesome.

How would you describe the work environment? No two days are the same at Northside Motorcycles Tyres and Service – I’m constantly learning.

How long have you been riding motorbikes? I have been riding motorbikes since I was 12  years old

Favourite part of the job? My favourite part of the job would be learning new skills and trouble shooting

Favourite bike to service and why? Definitely Harley Davidson’s. The sound they make is unreal.

What are your career aspirations? Are there any major events you’d like to work on? I want to be one of the best in the industry. Ideally, one day I would like to work on Australian Superbike Championships and the MotoGP!
